From highly specialized mud-nests of a colony of cliff swallows to the intentional rudimentary nest of the American Robin\, nests assure the continuation of future generations. We will explore nest site choices\, architecture\, assembly\, and the importance they play in courtship and bonding\, all the while celebrating a metaphor or two. \nVisit Under the Sheltering Sky at the New Bedford Art Museum to see the birds and their nests.
