Join us for Portals to the Future, a postcard drawing activity that invites families to design their own door based on examples from the city and their own imagination. Inspired by the United States’ semiquincentennial, and by Threshold, 2023, by Mark Reigelman (recently named a 2026 Top 100 public art project by CODA Worx) which honors New Bedford’s pioneering abolitionist history. This project asks “What do you hope to see for our country in the next 250 years?”
Portals to the Future will take place at Custom House Square. All DATMA programs are 100% free to the public.
