Art Talk with Painter: Michele Poirier-Mozzone

Meet artist Michele Poirier-Mozzone at The Drawing Room on August 12th from 5-7pm for August’s AHA! Night, a celebration of all things water.

Michele’s work explores the beauty and distortion of water, sunlight, memories, and the human figure. Prints of Michele’s work will be available for purchase during the event. Each painting starts in the summer sun with a GoPro, a waterproof video camera, which allows Michele to film her subjects (usually friends, family, and even herself) underwater. This gives her the freedom to “explore crazy angles” and play with perspective, often looking up at her model, which captures natural movement and distortion from below the surface of the water.
