Vessels, 2020
MASARY Studios
This moving piece portraying our city’s fishing industry is now being featured at the intersection of Purchase & Union Street on that beautiful wall in the Keystone Propety lot. What you don’t realize from the still image above, is the cinematic artwork is accompanied by an original musical score created with traditional and not so traditional instruments, such as recordings of the ships themselves. Come see and hear this work by MASARY Studios before it moves to its third location to be announce in the coming week. The third piece will be the final segment of their large-scale digital animations that spotlight our maritime industry —still the heart of our region’s economy. Then, in 2021, we welcome MASARY Studio’s back to NB for a live performance on the waterfront at Pier 3. Our research efforts for Vessels was supported by the NB Fishing Heritage Center and many of the waterfront’s business owners and Captains.
