Symphony in Color: New Bedford Symphony Orchestra Live at Mood-Vironment
September 11 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join DATMA and the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra for a one-of-a-kind evening where music and art come alive together.
Musical artists Timothy Macri (flute) and Luís Avíla (guitar) will draw their thematic inspiration from Mood-Vironment’s linked hexagons that seemingly undulate toward the sea. From honeycombs to snowflakes and crystalline structures, the hexagon creates strong bonds that also allow for flexibility. Musical harmonies, working in the same way, create movement and color that can transport and illumine the senses.
This free event is part of September’s NB Cultures AHA! Night. Some seating will be provided, and guests are encouraged to relax on the outdoor patio at Cork Wine and Tapas, where a specialty tasting inspired by Mood-Vironment will be available to pair with the live performance.
The Power of Pause
Each month, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra is delving into music’s positive effects. Music offers a wealth of benefits, impacting mood, cognition, memory, and even physical health, while also fostering social connections and emotional expression. We invite you to step away from the chaos of everyday life to pause, explore new things, and find more ways to relax, recharge, and restore. This is why DATMA is partnering with NBSO this season — because art, like music, is a vital part of wellness, and Mood-Vironment embodies the importance of slowing down, reflecting, and reconnecting.
