DATMA returns with another free public art installation – LIGHT 2020 – bringing world renowned art, design and technology to the “city that lit the world.”

DATMA adapts to COVID-19 and brings public art to New Bedford which highlights its rich history.

The Boston Globe’s Grace Griffin invites readers to “motor up” to New Bedford and come see the public art exhibitions of Soo Sunny Park and MASARY studios.

Light: 2020 premiers this Saturday, June 20th. Since we cannot yet gather together in celebration, this year’s artwork will launch quietly. We ask you to see these projects on your own time and know that we are beyond excited to provide you with the opportunity to experience original works of art in the urban gallery setting of downtown New Bedford.

In 2020, there shall be light in the city whose motto is Lucem Diffundo- “I diffuse Light.”
