DATMA has moved just across the city from the Co-Creative Center on Union St. to the Quest Center for Innovation on Purchase St. Fittingly, this is where the UMASS College for Visual and Performing Arts was first housed. We’re on the second floor, next to the NB Economic Development Council and NB Creative, above Groundwork, below the New Bedford Ocean Cluster, and down the street from New Bedford Research and Robotics (and the new pedestrian bridge over Rte. 18). Plus, we have a lot more space and good light).
We’ll be opening the new HQ for public hours when we get more settled and figure out the nuts and bolts of the space with us in it. For now, it’s been wonderful to host meetings in our own space and think of ways we can activate the space with community conversations and small exhibitions. We look forward to what is on the horizon.
